We are in the initial stages of planning a sale and show for the first weekend of October, 2008. This sale is for weanling colts only in which we hope to have 20+ consignors with 60-100 of their top colts for sale. This is a closed futurity/sale event with membership required.

All colts sold through this sale will be eligible to be shown in the "Opportunity Show" held in conjunction with the 2009 sale. Our first year prize money will total $25,000 with $10,000 going to First Place, $4,000 to Second Place, $3,000 going to Third Place, $2,000 going to Fourth Place and $1,000 going to Fifth through Tenth Places.

There will be a minimum bid of $1,000 on each colt. Colts will need to have their registration papers back from AQHA. Breeder certificates will not suffice. Colts once sold can be resold, maintaining their eligibility for the 2009 show with payment of a transfer fee. Colts can be shown as geldings or stallions. There will be no substitutions allowed once the colts are run through the sale.

Participation of 20 consignors and consignments of at least 60 colts will be needed in order for the sale to take place. Commitments will be evaluated on April 1, 2008 and again on May 1, 2008 to determine feasibility of this project. Your early support would be appreciated.
